MIH to host Mayweather-Mosley Private Fight Party at Out of Asia in LA

Due to the success of their Pacquiao-Clottey fight party at the Out of Asia venue located at 3249 South La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles last March, MIH (Make it Happen Inc.) is doing it again for the big fight next week between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley on Saturday, May 1st.
The Pacquiao-Clottey fight party drew almost 200 people that enjoyed the fight on a 40' x 12' screen. It was a great turnout. MIH also raffled away 2 Manny Pacquiao autographed boxing gloves and 5 Manny Pacquiao shirts. Food was also served together with a full bar followed by an afterparty with live performance by Warner Music artist MAIR. Not bad at all for $10 entrance, plus parts of proceeds went to the survivors of Typhoon Ondoy/Ketsana.

Now MIH is giving fans a great alternative to catch the Mayweather vs Mosley fight next week. For $10...fans can enjoy the fight and mingle with other boxing fans at the same venue. Why shelf out $50 on Pay per View when you can go out, have fun, be part of a great vibe and still catch the fight live! Parts of proceeds will go to the victims of Haiti earthquake.

From Examiner.com
Despite protests from hard-hugging Manny Pacquiao fans from all around the world, the fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley remains an intriguing match-up to several Filipino boxing fans and fight fans around the world in general.
Am I going to watch this fight? Hell yes!!! And I agree with our good friend from NYC Michael Marley that boycotting this event would be “stupid even for Pacquiao groupies“. It really is.

Now, I can understand why many of you wouldn’t want to shelf out your hard-earned coin to see Mayweather’s “boring style” of boxing as some people coin it to be, but the significance of a bout like this is something that makes the fight a “can’t miss”.

People will have different reasons to want to see this fight.

You got those who have been waiting for this match-up for the past decade. Mayweather and Mosley after all were two of the most promising stars at the turn of the century.

You got those who want to see Mayweather lose and get beat the hell up in the process. Mayweather has effectively created an image for himself as the bad guy with his antics such as throwing money around and bragging how rich he is and how rich others aren’t.

You got those that want to see Mosley define his brilliant career and turn it into a legendary one. Handing Mayweather his first loss will surely do that to him. As Mosley said in the fight’s press conference in New York, May 1st will be “MAYweather’s 1st loss”.

Of course, you have the Mayweather fans that can’t wait to see their boy do what he does best in the ring, which is winning. Whether you love him or hate him, you can’t take away his undefeated record away from him until someone actually beats him. Some will even watch it to simply see who Pacquiao might be fighting next. Whatever your reasons may be, it also helps that there are options besides PPV if you want to watch this fight live.

Emma Ferreira Gallery

Britweek Art Opening by Artist, photographer, painter, philanthropist and entrepreneur Emma Ferreira is a living example of knowing we have the key to her own destiny. Her paintings, photos and mixed-media works draw the viewer in and subtly convey messages of connection and harmony in the world. They exude passion and... beauty and invite the viewer to “Wake up! ... and live like you mean it!”

Emma Ferreira

Ferreira thinks well beyond, “Carpe Diem,” in fact, she chooses to seize every minute of life on this planet and make it her own. Prolific at her core, her creative muse and artful hands are constantly producing new works that stretch the imagination and blur the limitations of traditional composition to create something truly original and inspiring.

Now, after only a brief time on the Los Angeles art scene, Ferreira has earned the respect of multiple art enthusiasts, including celebrities, and the media, leading to a waiting list for commissioned pieces.

Art is where Ferreira will make a difference, and her mark. To this extent, Ferreira has already undertaken a journey to build a monumental body of work that will exhibit in cities around the world to raise funds for various charitable foundations.

Classic Beauty includes new mixed media creations and never-before-seen images and photography pulled from Ferreira’s archives, all of which transcend various levels of perception and encapsulate an expression of “Classic Beauty.” This series suggests we raise the standard by which we individually, and collectively, make a choice to see beauty in life, in artwork, in people, and within ourselves.

Ferreira attributes the works of Peter Beard, Mark Rothko, and Lee Krasner as her greatest influences and inspiration. More than just the next “it” girl, Ferreira has the talent, staying power and heart for greatness. With a multitude of sold out shows, ownership of a lucrative gallery, and a well-heeled and celebrity client base under her belt, Ferreira has shown us all that an artist need not be starving to be true to his, or her, art.

Ferreira is an active member in the design and art community with annual participation in the Venice Art Walk and work featured at the CaBoom: Festival of Contemporary Design (2005), the Step Up Foundation (2005), and the Association of Interior Design (ASID) Los Angeles’ Greystone Estate Garden & Design Showcase (2007).

Emma Ferreira was born in Buckinghamshire, England. Throughout her career, she has mounted several solo exhibitions internationally and in the United States, as well as group collaborations with various artists. Her most recent gallery exhibitions in Venice, California and Los Angeles include The Venice Contemporary, The Red House Gallery, Spring Towers, Moore Gallery, the Farmani Gallery and SPIN Gallery. Ferreira currently works and lives in Los Angeles. Her studio is located in the South La Cienega Design & Arts district.

Groove Temple brings the magical healing powers of music and dance to new heights at Out of Asia Venue

Groove Temple @ Out of Asia Venue
DANCE.. STRETCH.. YOGA.. LISTEN..LOUNGE..SOCIALIZE
Groove Temple goes beyond an ordinary Dance Experience ...
Combining Music, Dance and Relaxation Techniques ...
Re-balancing & Rejuvenating your Mind Body and Soul !!!

Groove Temple brings the magical healing powers of music and dance to new heights. It is specifically designed to be a transformational and uplifting experience! The guided Warm-up and Cool Down set it apart from your normal dance experience. In the warm up, the muscles and joints are loosened and lubricated with smooth flowing stretches. This encourages chi (energy) to flow clearly throughout the body - a necessary component for your ultimate free flowing dance experience. It also encourages synovial fluid into the joints - cushioning the joints - making your dancing more comfortable and enjoyable.

The Freestyle/Freeform Dance section shakes everything up - dislodging physical, mental and emotional stuff that's stuck in your body. The music takes you on a journey through different styles and sound escapes inspiring you to express different parts of your soul. There are 2 major peaks that push you to your threshold and 1 major valley in between - to give your body a nice rest with an opening stretch. The stretch in the valley cleanses / moves energy out of your body and you become clear and lighter - open to be revived... Then as the music elevates in the second peak - you're carried to a higher vibration - the space where we plant the seeds for our dreams...

The cool down is the final cleanse and rebalances and rejuvenates your entire system from yoga stretch to meditation. You leave feeling blissed out, clear, sharp and creative!!!! Call or text to RSVP 310-658-9174 or preregister on line

Thanks for all your awesome energy at the last Groove Temple. You all stirred up so much positive energy on the dance floor - it was hot!!! As always, Rachel completely rocked it on the Violin ... inspiring more smooth swirling graceful movement expression... while Robynn inspired our funky side with his awesome beats and Arlys brought us to another dimension with her eclectic myriad of deep vocals ... All these beautiful live elements on top of another awesome set of Music with Dj Luis Rosario !!! It was a night to remember :-)
